Loyalton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loyalton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Holland, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Holland is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexxis Gunier, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Loyalton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Virginia City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loyalton will square off against Plumas Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Virginia City, they will head out on the road to challenge Smith Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Smith Valley is ranked 77th, while Virginia City is ranked 89th).
