The Independence Falcons posted their biggest victory since November 18, 2023 on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 63-25 win over Highland on the road. With Independence ahead 35-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Kaylynn Bolden was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Fletcher, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists.
The victory was the third in a row for Independence, bringing their record for this year to 6-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points per game. As for Highland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Coincidentally, Independence and Highland will both be playing Bakersfield the next time they take the court. Independence will head out to face Bakersfield at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Highland will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
