The Waldron Mohawks had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Edinburgh on the road to the tune of 65-33. The victory was just what Waldron needed coming off of a 61-36 defeat in their prior matchup.
Waldron's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audrey Hogg, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Lindsey, who scored 17 points.
Edinburgh's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Mia Dodson and Bella Turner. Dodson scored four points, while Turner scored 11 points.
Waldron's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Edinburgh, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-20.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldron will take on Milan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Milan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday. As for Edinburgh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Decatur at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Decatur is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.8 points per game.
