Winning is just a little bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 20% better than the opposition, a fact the Virgin Valley Bulldogs proved on Friday. They walked away with a 43-36 win over Enterprise. For Virgin Valley, this counts as revenge for the 34-30 defeat Enterprise walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Virgin Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mady Wright, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals and 3 blocks. Natali Isidro was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bentlee Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds. Rogers scored a full 27.8% of Enterprise's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Virgin Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Enterprise, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Virgin Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Enterprise's road trip will continue as they head out to face Virgin Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st.
