TERRA Environmental's's game on Thursday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 47-34 to Ferguson. TERRA Environmental found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up ten fewer assists than your opponent.
Several TERRA Environmental players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shannon Greene, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. Greene hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Celeste Teboe, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ferguson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Diaz, who scored 12 points along with five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Diaz has scored at least 25% of Ferguson's points. Another player making a difference was Cecilia Rodriguez, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
TERRA Environmental now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Ferguson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
TERRA Environmental won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Homestead at 5:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Homestead is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Ferguson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Braddock at 4:30 p.m. on January 12th.
