The Riverside Ram pushed their score all the way to 63 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 81-63 fall against Briar Woods. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverside in their matchups with Briar Woods: they've now lost nine in a row.
Hope Drake was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds for Briar Woods. The contest was Drake's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Giuliana Bohmer, who scored 19 points.
Riverside's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Briar Woods, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Riverside will square off against Potomac Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Briar Woods, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stone Bridge at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Stone Bridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
