After flying high against the Strawn Greyhounds on Wednesday, the Rio Vista Eagles came back down to earth. Rio Vista took a serious blow against Grandview on Thursday, falling 55-22. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, Rio Vista couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, Rio Vista saw an underclassman step up: Shiloh Johnson scored six points along with eight rebounds. Johnson also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Rio Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Grandview, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Rio Vista has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Keene at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Grandview is on the road again on Thursday and play against Strawn at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th. Strawn is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
