Sylacauga was the  10-9 winner over Childersburg when they last played one another  back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Sylacauga Aggies took  a  9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Childersburg Tigers on Thursday.
 Natalee Deason was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  pitched six innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   seven  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Josie Harshberger was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.  Brookelyn Harris also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Sylacauga has  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record  this season. The  victory snapped Childersburg's losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 9-10 record.
 Looking ahead, Sylacauga will face off against Fayetteville at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Childersburg, they will be taking part in a tournament against Horseshoe Bend  at 9:00  a.m.  on March 29th.
