Basketball Recap: Cascade Skates Past West Branch with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cascade). They breezed by the West Branch Bears to the tune of 52-24 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Cougars have posted since January 4th.

The victory made it two in a row for Cascade and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for West Branch, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will host Center Point-Urbana at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cascade has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Branch, they will take on Mid-Prairie at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mid-Prairie will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something West Branch surely won't give up without a fight.
