The St. John's Islanders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 68-34 blowout they got at home against Lowcountry Leadership. The victory was a breath of fresh air for St. John's as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
St. John's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tr?Sean White, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Xavier, who scored 11 points.
St. John's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Lowcountry Leadership, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Military Magnet Academy the next time they take the court. Lowcountry Leadership will head out to face Military Magnet Academy at 7:20 p.m. on Monday, while St. John's will host them at 7:20 p.m. on Friday.
