After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Coronado, Morse was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Hilltop Lancers  9-8.

 Alyssa Truby made a splash no matter where she played. She  pitched 6.1 innings while giving up  five earned  (and one unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Camryn Salvador, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs and two  doubles. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in February.  Beyah Salvador was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  RBI and one  double.
 Morse  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .538. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Morse pushed their record up to 9-6 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Hilltop,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 7-10-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morse will welcome San Diego  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Hilltop, they will host Southwest SD  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
