After only two  runs in their last  match, Bennington made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Waverly  on Tuesday. The Bennington Badgers blew past the Waverly Vikings 13-2. The  win was some much needed relief for the Badgers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
  Leyla O'Connor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits. O'Connor was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Hannah Wageman was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run, three  RBI, and two  runs. That's the most  hits  she has posted since  back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of  Caydence Kenealy, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bennington was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're  batting average total in three consecutive  contests.
 Bennington's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Waverly,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 11-8.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennington will be staying on the road  on Thursday to face off against Lincoln Northwest at 5:00  p.m. Bennington is facing Lincoln Northwest at the right time seeing as Lincoln Northwest is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Waverly, they will take on Blair at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Blair is coming into the  matchup with three straight  wins at home,  so Waverly will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
