After losing to Progreso the last time they met, Raymondville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Raymondville was the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over Progreso on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bearkats, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Larry Perez made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. Raymondville's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Progreso, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
