There's no place like home for Stagg, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past the Natomas Nighthawks to the tune of 56-0 on Friday. The Delta Kings pushed the score to 49-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Nighthawks had no chance of recovering from.
Stagg was led to victory by Darnell Holmes and Alex Hinojosa. Holmes rushed for 55 yards and three TDs, while Hinojosa rushed for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Stagg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Darreon Williams, Issac Bun, and Michael Gonzales picked up one apiece. Gonzales has been hot, having also posted seven or more total tackles the last eight times he's played. Another thorn in Natomas' side was Leron Bursey, who picked up four sacks, made six total tackles, and defended one pass.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Antwon Williford, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
The victory got Stagg back to even at 1-1. As for Natomas, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Stagg will challenge Grace Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Natomas, they will take on River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
