The Legacy Christian Academy Eagles are on the road again on Thursday and play against Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on December 7th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Legacy Christian Academy got the win against Cooper by a conclusive 49-26. The victory was just what Legacy Christian Academy needed coming off of a 55-28 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Geneva waltzed into Tuesday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over St. Michael's. Given Geneva's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while St. Michael's is ranked 771st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Geneva's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maegan Riebel, who scored 20 points. The match was Riebel's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bethany DeLuna, who scored 7 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
The losses dropped Legacy Christian Academy to 6-2 and Cooper to 0-5.
Legacy Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Geneva in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, but they still walked away with a 37-32 win. Will Legacy Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Geneva have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
