After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Texas Christian, the Humble Christian Cougars were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They had just enough and edged School of the Woods out 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Humble Christian has posted yet this season.
Noah Vickers was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyron Williams, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Humble Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for School of the Woods, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 9-11.
Humble Christian will be playing at home against Angleton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for School of the Woods, they will head out on the road to take on Texas Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Texas Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
