The Aberdeen Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 77-52 walloping at the hands of Patterson Mill. While losing is never fun, Aberdeen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Patterson Mill is ranked 48th).
When it comes to explaining why Aberdeen lost, one person who can't be blamed is DARION PARRIS. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks. PARRIS is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of JUSTIN FRANKLIN, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Aberdeen has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Patterson Mill, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Aberdeen will head out on the road to challenge C. Milton Wright at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patterson Mill, they will take on Elkton at TBD on Tuesday.
