Uriah Martines Sets Career High in  Rushing Yards
 Starting off the list is Sweetwater's  Uriah Martines, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday  Martines rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. He is becoming a predictor of Sweetwater's success: when he posts  at  least two  rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
 The  win (which was Sweetwater's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Martines will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant  effort when he faces off against Breckenridge on Friday.

Logan Brooks Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
  Logan Brooks posted a new career-high in  rushing yards  on Friday. He rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
 Jim Ned's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 5-3. Brooks and Jim Ned will be playing at home against Clyde  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Aiden Ellis Makes It Two for Jim Ned
 Keeping Brooks company is  Aiden Ellis, a fellow Jim Ned player. He rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns.
 This year,  Ellis  has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 110 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season,  he was only averaging 27.43  rushing yards per game.

Alex Terrell Has Career-Day  on Friday
  Alex Terrell posted a new career-high in  rushing yards  on Friday. He rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes in addition to snagging   an  interception.
 Comanche is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Terrell and Comanche will challenge San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

A Season-Best  Performance from  Caiden Ortiz Leads Sweetwater over Clyde
  Caiden Ortiz produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sweetwater to the win  on Friday. Ortiz threw for 206 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes.
 On the season,  Ortiz  has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 130.1 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season,  he had eight  passing touchdowns.
