The Largo Packers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 45-29 bruising from Calvary Christian. While losing is never fun, Largo can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Calvary Christian is ranked 149th).
Largo's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mikayla Paschal, who scored 13 points, and Abbie Lindfors who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds. The contest was Paschal's third in a row with at least ten points.
Largo has fallen quite a ways from their 14-6 record last season and are now at 0-3. As for Calvary Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Largo will take on Leto at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calvary Christian, they will be playing at home against Sunlake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunlake will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
