After a string of five wins, Lumberton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Fork Gators. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gators earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

West Fork got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kailey Pate out in front who had eight assists and seven digs. That's the most digs Pate has posted over her last six matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Lewis, who had 12 digs.

Lumberton's defeat dropped their record down to 20-5. As for West Fork, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 26-3.

Looking ahead, Lumberton will venture away from home to square off against Woodville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Fork, they will host Montgomery at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
