The Brewer Bears will challenge the Fossil Ridge Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brewer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Brewer barely beat Chisholm Trail the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Brewer's pitchers stepped up to hand Chisholm Trail a 9-0 shutout on Friday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Cozette Tyson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Khloe Winn looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Keira Miller was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 12 games. Another player making a difference was Maddie Folsom, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 8-5 to Azle.

Brewer's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Fossil Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2-1.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Brewer hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Fossil Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .372. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Brewer took their win against Fossil Ridge in their previous meeting back in March of 2020 by a conclusive 10-1. Will Brewer repeat their success, or does Fossil Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
