The Baker County Wildcats have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Union County by a score of 62-54 on Saturday. For Baker County, this counts as revenge for the 58-55 defeat Union County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Baker County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaeveon Reed out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Dawson Norman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Baker County's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Union County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Baker County will head out on the road to face off against Bradford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Interlachen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Interlachen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
