The Crestwood Knights entered their tilt with the Lakewood Gators with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Crestwood breezed by Lakewood at home to the tune of 56-0. Considering Crestwood has won seven contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Azarian Yates continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Josaun Anderson, who picked up 43 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Crestwood's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points per game. As for Lakewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Crestwood will be playing at home against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Orangeburg-Wilkinson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Crestwood is ranked 22nd). Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
