Olympus is 8-1 against the Bengals since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Olympus Titans will head out on the road to take on the Brighton Bengals at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Olympus is ranked 46th, while the Bengals are ranked 27th).
Olympus unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 65-41 defeat at the hands of West. Olympus was down 52-29 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the defeat, Olympus got a solid performance out of Joss Baker, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That was a full 36.6% of Olympus' points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Lily Smith, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Brighton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 60-52 victory over West.
Olympus' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Brighton, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Olympus didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Bengals in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 61-57 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Brighton's Olivia Stephens, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
