Lake Stevens is 1-9 against Jackson since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Vikings will square off against the Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Lake Stevens got the win against Cascade by a conclusive 10-2. Considering the Vikings have won three matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Charli Pugmire spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emerson Cummins, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Alexis Osterholtz also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jackson). They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over Arlington on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
Alana Banog (2028) was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Banog (2028) was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
In other batting news, Kiana Holden (2025) was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Mia Ediger (2026) was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Jackson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arlington only posted a batting average of .250.
Jackson's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Stevens, their record is now 6-4.
