Sylva Bay Academy found their leader in underclassman Sydney Poole, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Poole has scored all season. Marcy Griffin was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Lamar Christian pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sylva Bay Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-8.
Everything came up roses for Lamar Christian against Sylva Bay Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 56-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lamar Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
