The Kirkwood Cobras are taking a road trip to  face off against the Rossview Hawks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both  have allowed few  points on average, (Kirkwood: 6, Rossview: 10.6) so any  points scored will be well earned.
 Kirkwood will head into Friday's  matchup out to bounce back: they came back down to earth  on Friday after soaring to a 34-point contest in their last game. They fell just short of Dickson County by a score of  17-14. The loss was the Cobras' first of the season.
  Josiah Claybrooks put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he rushed for 147 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 125  rushing yards.  Gavyn Hunter also played a phenomenal game despite the final result: he picked up 111  receiving yards.
 Meanwhile, Rossview put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Northeast with  points to spare, taking the game  44-26. 44 seems to be a good number for the Hawks as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  points in their previous game.
  Damani Wilson was the offensive standout of the  game as he picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 35 yards.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Rossview was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 249  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Special teams also played a big role in the game for Rossview, adding 20 points to the final score. All came courtesy of  Mick Casto: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 5-for-5  kicking extra points for an additional five.
 Having lost for the first time  this season, Kirkwood  fell to 4-1. As for Rossview, their victory was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 5-0.
 Friday's   match might be decided in the on the ground. Kirkwood has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 189.8  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Rossview struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 221.8. It's looking like  Friday's  contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
 Kirkwood took a serious blow against Rossview  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, falling  31-0. Can Kirkwood avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
