Denver South's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Shepherd, who went 6 for 8 to rack up 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Rhoades-Martinez, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Northfield strolled past Vista PEAK Prep with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 73-57. Given the Nighthawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Bison are ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Denver South better keep an eye on Alex Ensor. He was instrumental in Northfield's win, putting up 17 points in addition to eight assists and six boards. Those eight assists gave Ensor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Judah Michael, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Denver South has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Northfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Denver South came up short against Northfield in their previous meeting back in January, falling 69-65. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Michael, who posted 16 points along with seven boards and six assists. Now that Denver South knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
