Mineral County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They fell victim to a  tough 29-11 defeat at the hands of the Tonopah Muckers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Mineral County of the  21-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March.
  Olivia Moody and  Jazmin Serrato stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Moody  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2, while  Serrato  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Caitlyn Sanchez was another key contributor,  going 3-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Mineral County was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .471. That's the best  batting average they've managed all season.
 On Tonopah's side,  Taylor Thomas was  incredible,  going 5-for-5 with five  runs, six  RBI,  and two  stolen bases. Another player making a difference was  Ashlee Thompson, who  went 4-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and a  triple.
 Mineral County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Tonopah, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mineral County's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Coleville at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Coleville will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something Mineral County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tonopah, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beatty at 1:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Tonopah's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last seven games.
