The Fort Bend Clements Rangers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Fort Bend Hightower as Fort Bend Clements made off with a 53-27 victory. Given Fort Bend Clements' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Hurricanes are ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fort Bend Clements' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Clark, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Clark hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. Keshav Vijaykumar was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Fort Bend Clements pushed their record up to 27-0 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fort Bend Hightower, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.
Fort Bend Clements will take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Dulles has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
