Clay City and Orleans squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Clay City had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 50-47. The Eels' defeat signaled the end of their 25-game winning streak.

Orleans' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryce Jones led the charge by putting up 13 points and six assists. Jones continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Alex DeWitt was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 13 points.

Clay City's loss dropped their record down to 26-3. As for Orleans, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Clay City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orleans, they will face off against Clinton Prairie at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Clinton Prairie will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Orleans surely won't give up without a fight.
