Tumwater has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the North Kitsap Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Tumwater extended their postseason success on Saturday against Clarkston. They breezed by the Bantams at home to the tune of 42-6. Tumwater might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, North Kitsap had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.6 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They snuck past Lynden with a 34-28 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Kitsap to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Dungy, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Logan Sloman, who picked up 54 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tumwater has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for North Kitsap, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Tumwater took their win against North Kitsap when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 34-14. Does Tumwater have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Kitsap turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
