Horse Creek Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let North get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Stallions, who have now won three matchups by 13 runs or more so far this season.
Allie Stuart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stuart was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Jessilyn Robatue was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ianlee Thompkins, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
Horse Creek Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .818. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wagener-Salley posted their closest victory since April 16, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past Calhoun County 13-11.
Makenley Walling made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. Walling was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kylee Hooker, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. M Jackson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
Horse Creek Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Wagener-Salley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
