Brookeland got a massive performance out of Cierra Justice, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Justice has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Elisabeth Lundquist, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Brookeland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leakey only posted an OBP of .125.
Brookeland is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4-3 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.2 runs. As for Leakey, they moved to 22-14-1 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
