When it comes to explaining why Hagerty lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kylee Kitts. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 40% of Hagerty's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ciara Hayes was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists and three steals.
Windermere Prep pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.08 points. As for Hagerty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Windermere Prep and University will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. University will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 349th, while Windermere Prep is ranked 74th). Hagerty will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Lake Howell is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
