Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask C.A. Johnson). They blew past the Riverwalk Academy Lions 115-17 on Thursday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 62-6.

C.A. Johnson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Milton McCray out in front who went 8 for 15 en route to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave McCray a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Aiassiac Germany, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.

Riverwalk Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Levi Staton, who posted six points. Austin Thurman was another key player, putting up five points.

C.A. Johnson's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Riverwalk Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
