The Florence Christian Eagles will be playing at home against the John Paul II Golden Warrriors at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Florence Christian's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while John Paul II has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Florence Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Pee Dee Academy, taking the game 32-20.
Juels I huntley continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 295 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.8 yards per carry. I huntley's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Another reason for the win was Florence Christian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Dakota Lawson and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, John Paul II fell victim to Wilson Hall's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Barons, falling 45-0. While losing is never fun, John Paul II can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Wilson Hall is ranked 89th).
Florence Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
