On Thursday, Holt earned  a  7-3 victory over Fowlerville.
 Kara Sandberg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up 13 Ks.
 At the plate, Holt got a  massive  performance out of  Marlie Rehm, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run and five  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eeva Luoma, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Holt  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fowlerville struck out 13 times.
 Grand Ledge couldn't beat Lansing Catholic  on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Comets wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly  the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
 Holt has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Ledge, their loss dropped their record down to 25-9.
