On the hitting side, Landon Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Kieran Babai, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos was able to grind out a solid win over Foothill Tech on Saturday, taking the game 6-3. The victory continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won four in a row.
Stone Saunders was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Dos Pueblos hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matches.
The win got Dos Pueblos back to even at 5-5. As for San Marcos, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6.
