Even though the Righetti Warriors scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Newbury Park Panthers still came out on top. Newbury Park took their   matchup against Righetti   67-58. Given Newbury Park's advantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 443rd, while Righetti is ranked 1060th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Newbury Park's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Blake Jones, who  scored 27 points. The  matchup was  Jones' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alex Depatie, who  scored 17 points.
 The  win  makes it two in a row for Newbury Park and  bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Righetti, they are  on a four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Righetti won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Burroughs at 2:30  p.m.  on December 29, 2023. Hopefully Burroughs focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 11 on Thursday.
