Sabino came tearing into  Tuesday's  contest with six straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Safford Bulldogs  a   10-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sabercats also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.
 Avery Nielson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Nielson was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  home run the last four times she's  played.
 In other batting news, Sabino let  Alannis Ochoa and  Alyssa Aguirre run wild. Ochoa  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3, while  Aguirre  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Bobbi Valles, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in two of her three plate appearances.
 Sabino  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. They are  a perfect 5-0 when  they post two or more  home runs.
Sabino pushed their record up to 10-9 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Safford, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Looking ahead, Sabino will be playing at home against Palo Verde  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Safford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  16-5  victory against Blue Ridge on the 2nd.
