One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
Roosevelt can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lakeside as Roosevelt made off with a 65-44 win. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Lakeside is ranked 261st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jalen Dollar was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Anthony Washington, who scored 13 points.
Ingraham suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cleveland by a score of 47-45.
Roosevelt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Ingraham, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Roosevelt beat Ingraham 63-54 when the teams last played on January 3rd. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roosevelt since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
