Demetrius Hardnett of
Lakeside School (Eufaula, Ala.) leads high school baseball nationally with 153 strikeouts. The senior is one of three players from the same school among the nation's top 25 strikeout leaders.
Junior
Brayden Harris of
St. Johns Country Day (Orange Park, Fla.) and senior
Jackson Peavy from
Peach County (Fort Valley, Ga.) are both committed to play at college baseball powerhouses. Harris is fourth in the nation with 116 strikeouts and will play at Florida State. Peavy is fifth with 115 and will play at Georgia.

1. Demetrius Hardnett, Sr., Lakeside School (Eufaula, Ala.), 153The senior struck out every batter in a playoff appearance this week for the Chiefs. He opened the season with a complete game, 17-strikeout no-hitter and has hit double-digit strikeouts in every outing were he has gone at least five innings.
The Shelton State commit allowed just three earned runs in 60 innings this season. On March 6 he hit a season-high 18 strikeouts for the Bulldogs. This season topped 13 strikeouts in all seven outings that he went at least five frames.
Went five-straight games between March 14-April 10 with at least 10 strikeouts, including 15 on March 20. Picked up a postseason win April 19 as the Tigers advanced in the playoffs.
The Florida State pledge had a season-high 18 punch outs in a first-round playoff matchup. The future Seminole also helps himself in the batter's box with a .372 batting average.
Struck out 25 batters in nine innings during his final two starts of the season. The Georgia commit hit double-digit strikeouts in five consecutive starts between Feb. 22-March 18.
