Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Voyager Academy). They blew past the Henderson Collegiate Pride 82-45 on Tuesday. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Voyager Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Manny Pullium, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points along with five assists and five steals. That's the most steals Pullium has posted since back in January of 2024. Darin Jones was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.
Pullium wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Voyager Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Henderson Collegiate only posted six assists.
Henderson Collegiate lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Deion Lemay, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Lemay is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Marcus, who posted six points.
Voyager Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.6 points. As for Henderson Collegiate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Voyager Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 82-65 victory against Williams on the 20th. Henderson Collegiate has also already played their next game, a 60-45 win against Oxford Prep on the 17th.
