Cooper scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Socorro Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1174th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 566th).

Dominguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Caballero, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Socorro, they moved to 12-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
