Lake Braddock is 8-2 against West Springfield since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Lake Braddock will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on West Springfield at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Lake Braddock's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Robinson 15-0. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Mac Verdejo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Verdejo was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Radha Samuel was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Hailey Hackbarth was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
Lake Braddock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Robinson only posted an OBP of .125.
Meanwhile, West Springfield got the win against Fairfax on Friday by a conclusive 12-0.
Like Lake Braddock, West Springfield also got a great game from a two-way player: Elaina Primozic. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Primozic was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI.
In other batting news, West Springfield got a massive performance out of Layla Muten, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Clara Sutton, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
West Springfield now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lake Braddock, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lake Braddock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like West Springfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lake Braddock took their win against West Springfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0. Will Lake Braddock repeat their success, or does West Springfield has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
