Eastern Alamance is 8-2 against Person since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Eastern Alamance Eagles will be playing at home against the Person Rockets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Eastern Alamance focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Last Friday, Eastern Alamance didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Cedar Ridge, but they still walked away with a 39-35 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastern Alamance.
Eastern Alamance relied on the efforts of Ayanna Garner, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Makayla Thompson, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Hester, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Person suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Orange on the road and fell 53-25. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Person in their matchups with Orange: they've now lost six in a row.
The win got Eastern Alamance back to even at 7-7. As for Person, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Eastern Alamance against Person when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 58-23 win. Will Eastern Alamance repeat their success, or does Person have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
