After flying high against the Gordon-Rushville Mustangs back in December of 2023, the Bennett County Warriors came back down to earth. Bennett County took a serious blow against Wall on Saturday, falling 61-26. Bennett County has struggled against Wall recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Wall's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brodi Sundall, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Sundall's third in a row with at least ten points. Emmet Dinger was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Bennett County bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wall, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Bennett County will square off against Philip at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belle Fourche at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Belle Fourche is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
