The Weston Ranch Cougars had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They took down West Ranch 74-60. Given Weston Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while West Ranch is ranked 114th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Izaias White, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrion Lilly, who scored 17 points.
Weston Ranch's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for West Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
