The Berkeley Stags have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 48-25 margin over Lucy Beckham. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Berkeley has managed all season.
Berkeley was led to victory by Imani Levey and Amani Mccray. Levey dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Mccray dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Christiana Robbins, who scored two points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Berkeley's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Lucy Beckham, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkeley will be home for the holidays to greet Timberland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Timberland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Wednesday. Lucy Beckham will be home for the holidays to greet Oceanside Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
